At Aspects Eyecare, we strive to go beyond providing eyeglasses. Our mission is to be comprehensive eyecare destination, catering to all aspects of eye health, beauty and vision corrections. We are committed to offering top-notch eyecare services that prioritize the well-being of our patients. Our eyecare ervices include innovative dry eye treatments and vision correction options. We understand the importance of addressing dry eye symptoms and providing effective solutions for our patients. Additionally, we offer a range of vision correction options, such as eyeglasses, contact lenses and refractive surgery through SightMD, to meet individual needs and preferences.

Irina Schawaroch O.D.

Dr Irina Schawaroch graduated from SUNY College of Optometry after completing her bachelor's degree at Adelphi University. She spent a number of years working throughout parts of Brooklyn, Queens and the Bronx, providing care in various clinics and facilities. Working under some of the greatest ophthalmologists in the 5 boroughs, Dr Schawaroch assisted in the care of their patients' following surgeries, including cataracts, strabismus, and various retinal procedures, as well as managing her own patients and their families in their eye care needs. Dr. Schawaroch also worked alongside pediatric ophthalmologists and cataract surgeons broadened her experience over the years. Being an immigrant from the former Soviet Union she was able to communicate with patients in Russian, as well as learning Creole and Spanish to best care for those who struggled to communicate.

Now, Dr Schawaroch resides in Western Suffolk County with her husband, two beautiful children, and lots of fur babies. She found her home after moving to Suffolk county at Stony Brook Vision World until she was ready to branch out on her own to provide the excellence in overall eye health and optical fashion. Her commitment to bring the best technology to her patients in diagnosing and managing various eye conditions is of the utmost importance. Dr. Schawaroch also gives back to the community, often times fostering for the Guide Dog Foundation in Smithtown or volunteering for her daughter's girl scout troop or her serving as Den Mom for her's Boy Scout troop, There is never a dull moment!

With almost 10 years of experience in the optical world, our in-house, licensed optician and stylist, Pattie is always prepared to find the perfect eyeglasses for you. Knowledgeable in soft and hard contact lenses, her patience with training new contact lens wearers is unmatched. In addition to assisting patients find glasses and understand their vision benefits, she also makes most of the eyeglasses herself!

 

Fluent in both English and Spanish, Patricia can be found on weekends volunteering her time translating to patients at Stony Brook outpatient facility.  She is completing her bachelor's degree and on a strong path to Optometry school. Outside of optometry you can find her at the gym and spending time with her family.

Maisha

Find Maisha at the front desk taking your calls and assisting with your insurance questions. Always keeping up on the cutting edge of technology, Maisha is always ready to learn all the equipment and create new policies to make everything run smoothly.

 

When she isn't behind the desk greeting you with a warm smile, she's helping get the patients ready for the doctor. Have no fear, though, she won't give you that dreaded "poof" of air in your eyes. Just relax, answer some questions as best as you can and look at the shiny lights.

Maisha will be entering SUNY college of optometry in the Fall to complete her doctorate in Optometry in the next 4 years after she completes her bachelor's at Stony Brook University this Spring. Maybe she will be checking your eyes next? 

​

As our resident foodie, she loves to try new foods, spends time at the gym and loves being with her family.
